Best helmet I ever bought
Andy•August 25, 2016
I needed a helmet for long bike rides and I always admired this one.
Bell really packed this helmet well. There is a nice instruction booklet with it.
The helmet is well made. There were plenty of good considerations baked into this helmet. For example, the lining in the muzzle cn be taken out for warmer weather and washing.
The muzzle was really easy to adjust to my face. The locking system is really easy to use. The muzzle locks into this helmet nicely.
I rode in this on two trips and I really like using it. I feel really protected in this helmet. I also think it looks really distinctive.
I totally recommend this helmet.

This is a great helmet, it makes riding my harley davidson dyna bob with a helmet look cool. It also muffles the really loud exhaust note so it doesn't bother me. HIghly recommend. I ordered the shiny black, but received the matte, in hindsight that was a good mistake because the matte looks really mean.
Cool lookig, bigger than I imagines, chips easily, face guard is mainly cosmetic

I get awesome looks with his thing. The face mask MIGHT protect against road rash, but I wouldn't count on it to necessarily stay on (it has slip on magnetic latches, and taking a hi on your chin will push it off. But then again, you'll have bigger problems than facial road rash if that happens.
It's light, but pretty big. If you want the WWI style, it's way bigger.
It's got good protections for the ear, jaw joint, unlike many WWI brain boxes.
Note: it chipped REALLY easily in on the rim, leaving white material showing, and taking away from the look. Would probably not buy again, looking back.

I bought into the hype that this was a really cool, new helmet
Capt. Malcom Reynolds•August 1, 2015
Not impressed with design or function. I bought into the hype that this was a really cool, new helmet. As a half helmet with no mask it's functional, but not optimal.
The rear collar area catches the wind horribly and makes it hard to turn my head at speed, a safety issue. Above 65mph the wind pressure inside the helmet is significant and very distracting, again due to the rear padding/collar I believe. The helmet also will pull straight up from all the wind it catches and dig the chin strap into your neck. The chin strap is ridiculously, insanely, unnecessarily long. Seriously, unless you're Herman Munster with a face 3' long you're going to have a ton of slack and there is no built in way to shorten it.
The facemask is not at all comfortable or easy to put on. It rubs the bridge of the nose when riding, painfully so at speed, and you can't put the helmet on with the mask in place so you have to fumble the thing into place after. Also equally annoying to have to take the mask off when removing the helmet.
Overall NOT worth the money. Many better, more economical options out there. I would not recommend. After 3 rides you can find my helmet on craigslist in the near future.

Cool helmet. The sizing was true in comparison to my other 2 helmets. I ordered it 1 size larger because of some of the other reviewers advice, but i shouldn't have. However, there isn't any ventilation holes in the helmet so it should prob be used on cooler days or highway drives.
