Great value for a budget fryer

Was looking for a good fryer for my outdoor kitchen - this will work - spacing and exhaust requirements are a bit tough, but we've arranged a place for it. Its basic construction, and I like the fact it gets so much frying from 2.5 gal of oil. Fairly easy to drain into my filter to recover oil, and to wash out. Drain valve is about 3.8 inch above the bottom so you do have to wipe out the last little bit, but its much easier than a flat bottom, and the heat exchanger mid oil heats much more efficiently. Have to watch it - totally manual, but for the price its a great value - works well, no issues. I added a street elbo (90 deg bend) after the drain valve before the drain pipe, makes draining into an oil filter much easier, but standard 1" pipe fittings make it easy.

This is a follow-on review after a great deal of cleaning. While it is seriously difficult to clean all the manufacturing oil out of all the hard to reach places, it is a fabulous fish fryer. My temperature gauge was faulty, but I didn't need it. It will fry a lot fish very fast and the drain for the oil works well with a large funnel. Its well made, and I am sure I will get many years of perfectly fried fish and other items as well. I highly recommend this fryer over any other on the. market. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who also gives it 5 stars.

They save your oil because the flour, cornmeal"¦ drops down in the bottom & saves your grease. This way, you are able to use your grease for a lot longer. We honestly use ours all the time.
They cook fish so good, French fries, anything fried. Quick & good!
