Work great, nice and sturdy
Mike•September 1, 2017
Work great, nice and sturdy, and even when they are folded up I can still stuff some things in there like a jacket or my U-lock. They are huge and stick out from the bike a little bit more than normal panniers. At first I thought maybe a little bit too big, but it has been helpful for big grocery loads.
The bottom bungee with hook works so-so, just depends on your rack. Works good on my bike, but a bit tricky to get a good lock on my girlfriend bike, the pannier almost fell off one time. Otherwise, a nice set of grocery/do-it-all panniers for a decent price.

These are spacious sturdy bags with some basic construction defects that makes them very difficult to use.
Size: Great and spacious. Deep enough that I don't need a net and nothing bounces out. Can fit three days worth of food for two people in it easily.
Quality: High quality, sturdy materials holds gallons and liters without losing its shape or support.
Annoyances:
Clips - There are two plastic clips and one small metal clip behind the bag that secure it to the rack. The plastic clips very thick and strong - so much so that it takes a surprising amount of effort to get them on and off the bike. I have to get on my knees and wrestle with it for a few minutes each time. And beware of the small metal clip: if you won't purposely wind around the bungee cord, it WILL catch on your tire spokes and send everything to a crashing halt.
Height/ Incompatible with a rear basket - The depth is good and holds a lot of food but the bag sits above the wheel by 4 or 5 inches. I didn't notice this at first, but you can see it in the pictures. If you have a rear bike rack that's any wider than the rack (and most are), then you will not be able to use these bags because the tops of the bag will hit the rack, rendering either the bag or your rear bike rack useless. You'll have to take the rear basket off to use these bags. So much for building cargo space.
Handles - For $70, would it have killed the manufacturer to have TWO handles on the bag? There is only one handle on a single side of each bag, so if you have food or anything of weight in the bag, you have to carry the bag from underneath. Otherwise, the bag will flop sideways and all the food will fall out. Totally defeats the purpose of a bag.
I thought I could just take these bags off the bike and into the grocery store to use as a regular bag (it's California, so you have to bring your own bags anyway), but the difficulty of undoing/redoing the clips and the retarded lack of handles killed that idea. All the more annoying because if you live in the city, you don't want to leave these on the bike because they might be stolen. That leaves you carrying lopsided bags by the single handle into the grocery, but being unable to load them unless you put them inside a grocery cart (single handle problem again) and then taking them back out to the bike, remounting them, and then loading with food. Entirely too much trouble for something that's suppose to simplify cargo trips.

Great set of bags; wish it had handles on both sides for carrying.

This is a great set of bags for your bike.
Pros:
1. Light weight.
2. Universal attachment.
3. Folds up for storage when not in use.
Cons:
1. When walking around the farmers market (or your place of shopping), there is only one handle. So you either end up holding the bag with both arms, or you use the single handle and walk around with it (lopsided) hoping nothing falls out.
This is a minor "con", but it does actually become quite annoying after a while. However, I would still highly recommend these and would buy again if I had to.

There is nothing to hook the "down" hook/bungy to on the bike and with the top hooks having no locking mechanism to keep the bag
richard•June 6, 2017
I have a Gary Fisher Tarpon MTB. There is nothing to hook the "down" hook/bungy to on the bike and with the top hooks having no locking mechanism to keep the bags on the rack they are pretty much useless for me even under cargo load. I live in Costa Rica where nothing is flat and the slighest bump sends the bags flying off the rack. Also, to keep my heels from hitting the bags from below and knocking them off the rack I have to point my toes down. Of course I'm constantly forgetting to do that so I'm constantly knocking them off the rack. A simple click mechanism for the rack mounts and a tapered bag for heel clearance would solve this problem. Also, because it only has one handle on one side it is very awkward trying to carry a bag around a store. A second handle ....one on each side of the bag... would solve this problem. Overall, not a very good design.
Tidy, sturdy and effective--just make sure you have a place to bungee
Jonny•May 10, 2017
This is great! Tidy, they fold up neatly when not in use, and with the stiff frame they don't flip around or get caught in the wheel like my old units did. You can even put smaller/flatter items in when they are buttoned up (like my lock, a small tool set and my safety vest).
One thing to consider, though. Other units have top clips that securely fasten at the rack, but these do not--it is just a little hook that requires the bungee to secure it from the bottom. My old Peugeot has an original rack with no place to hook, but for my Schwinn I used a longer adjustment bolt on the rack's legs to clip the books on.
