I recommend using joint or channel pliers to open clamps since they are so strong. It's the strength that makes them so effective.

Perfect addition to the pliers which come with 4 clamps. Having 8 is the perfect amount for an average room or project

These work perfectly but do not be deceived by the photo posted on Amazon with the product. The plier/tool for these is NOT included. However, it's totally unnecessary in my opinion. A pair of Channel lock pliers or any good sized plier can be used to attache the clamps to your project. The clamps themselves to a great job of holding miters together for gluing. The do leave a couple of tiny divots on the wood but they are easily concealed after painted or with a tiny, tiny bit of filler if you so desire. Really not noticeable at all.

Wow, if you are making and gluing up frames, this is a must. So much easier than fiddling with all the various kinds of corner clamps on the market. My wife is an artist so I have a lot of frames to make, and this system is so easy. Buy extra spring clamps. To keep up wit her production, I have to make several frames at at time.
