These glasses are great! I'm over thin, tapered glasses that are easy to tip over and are impossible to clean because you can't get your hand to the bottom to really scrub them if they get gunk in the bottom. These are thick and sturdy. They hold a good amount of your beverage and *bonus* they have a vintage look and feel to them. Mine came with no damage, but know that these don't come with the lids. I ordered some lids separately.

I love these. Drinking glasses that double as storage containers! They're nice and heavy, which is what I wanted because I have nerve damage in my left arm that affects my hand. That damage means I'm not always aware of how hard I'm gripping something and I've broken several thinner glasses when washing them. These are solid. They aren't going to break from my grip, they don't even break when I drop them (another common occurrence). The lids seal well, making them great for storage too. They're also an attractive, simple design that will work well with pretty much any kind of dinnerware.

Yes, real working glasses. This set of eight and eight covers everything you need for everyday use plus use as jars or containers for small amounts. They don't have the covers but the price is right. They don't have the ARC stamp either, but after several dropped glasses plus sink abuse, they're the real thing. Glasses that bounce on the floor instead of breaking.

I really wanted to like these. Within the first two weeks one chipped in the dishwasher on the top rack. There are so many broken and chipped ones of these that I own now I am sorry I purchased these. I really researched glass cups for a decent price that were decent quality & would last. I really messed up in this purchase. They are way too wide anyway. Next time I will purchase something a little narrower so I have more cabinet space for extras! These also do not stack. That's another way to chip them!

you know, I have to say, these are great! I couldn't be happier. Of course I knew they would be, because every twenty years or so I have to buy a new set. It literally takes that long to go through them. They are nice thick-walled, wide-bottomed, unpretentious and super easy to clean. No more jamming large hands into some weird skinny bottom to clean dried up milk your kids left just to make your life interesting. Plus they are stable: no accidental spillage from poorly designed small bottoms. Better than great even, with the lids. I'd have to say perfect!

The set I ordered came without the lids, but the Amazon/seller staff happily sent me a complete set, so I have no leftover burn. And I LOVE these glasses! They're especially great for those of us who do dishes in the sink, being large enough to get even big hands all the way to the bottom, and the glass thick enough to withstand the occasional bump on the sink divider without shattering. Or even cracking.

It actually restores my faith in humanity: combining function and aesthetics for selling-points instead of focus-groups and teams of expensive marketers. These glasses sell themselves!
