Great Product!
Doreen Bell•February 16, 2018
I love this item! Shipping was fast with minimal assembly. Looks like a piece of furniture. When you first get it and add the 3 1/2 gallons water it goes real fast due to the filter being dry and soaking up all the water. It slows down after that though. But keep in mind if your Home is very dry you will go through a lot of water! That's it's job! It's great how it flashes a F when it's needs water no guessing involved !
I love the plastic insert it comes with on top! The color is neutral and can match any color sceam in your home.
My only issue is where I have it placed the afternoon sun shines on it for maybe an hour and I can see a slight indent on the plastic insert on top ( face granite tile)
We refab homes so we have a lot of left over tile so I had a lot to pick from. If you have the same issue I recommend taking the plastic insert with you to a local home improvement store or a tile store. To check the size. All tile vary! It doesn't cost much to replace with one piece sample!

Nice unit, but faster speeds can be loud
NH Guy•February 15, 2018
I was looking for a whole house humidifier that I didn't have to fill constantly. This unit looks decent (it's obviously plastic but overall looks good in the room). Filling the 3.5 gallons does take a while but it's nice that I only have to do it once a day. On the one hand, it does NOT get the humidity to where I want it, but on the other, it does dump 3.5 gallons a day into the air which is good. My only real complaint is the noise. I keep the fan on speed 1 which is nice and quiet. However there are 8 more speeds which I'd really like to use (I assume it would help raise the humidity if I did) but they are just to loud. I do turn it up when nobody is in the house, but if this was made quieter it would be perfect. Overall, I recommend this unit.
Don't be fooled by positive reviews ...

Sigh. I had high hopes due to the overwhelming positive reviews. The humidifier worked great the first few weeks. Then after the first time I let the water run dry, something changed. Now the unit runs constantly and never (seems) to reach even the minimum of 20% humidity. When first setup, the unit had no problem reaching 50% humidity. Now, even under the same running conditions (same room, same water supply) the unit runs and runs and little humidity is produced. I did change out the wick after I noticed the top 1/3 of the wick was hard/yellow/dry; changing the wick made no improvement. So now I'm out the $16 for a new wick, and I will be returning the unit and taking a big hit ($30) to ship it back to Amazon.
Not a Whole-House Humidifier
Henry K•December 13, 2017
My home is approximately 2500 sq. ft. not including the unfinished basement. I already have an Aprilaire 600 whole house humidifier installed on the furnace, but it never seemed to be enough to get the humidity to recommended levels. I figured the inclusion of this product would more than be enough to subsidize the Aprilaire and get the levels to where they need to be. Such is not the case. It has raised the humidity in the house by a few points, but I'm still typically 5% below recommended values. That's after running nearly non-stop for almost a week now. This unit might be ok for a smaller home or a large room, but that's about it. Needless to say, I'm disappointed with the product and I am considering returning it. UPDATE 3/20/18 - This unit is junk. Randomly shuts itself completely off or locks up showing CF in the display. A call to customer service reveals, "Yeah we know about that, just unplug it and plug it back in." My bad for missing the return window. DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK.
Big help to us during drier winter months
maxava•October 29, 2017
We are heading into year three of use on this humidifier. We use it from November to April when our house gets drier over the winter. We set the humidifer up in our living room and it does a great job of keeping the humidity levels at a healthy level during the colder months. It has really made a difference for our entire family with not having dried out nasal passages. We've been very pleased with this unit. It is easy to clean and easy to add more water and bacteriostat. The filter is easy to replace, as well.
