We ordered a size 3t, as that's what my daughter wears for clothing, and it fits great. We probably could've sized down, but would rather have a little room to grow since we ordered late spring. The ruffles are precious and she looks so cute wearing it! Rufflebutts suits are excellent quality and survive toddler life and washing very well. This one is no exception. Sun protection is great, no burns. We always get compliments on it wherever we go.

I really like this swimsuit for my granddaughter. At first we tried the 4t for our 4yr old, but the bottoms were very tight on her legs. She is smaller than most kids her age.
We reordered and went with 5t. The bottoms fit great, but the top is really long. This is our first purchase of Ruffle Butts so I'm assuming it's supposed to be that way.
We haven't used it yet so will update when we do.
Updated review: I'm in love with this swimsuit! I didn't understand why the shirt was long, but totally get it now. I will definitely purchase this swimsuit every summer.

We bought this suit in yellow (my three-year-old's favorite color) and it is darling! It fit true to size- 3t for my daughter who weighs about 31-32 lb, 37" tall, wears 3t in just about everything. She still has room to grow for the rest of summer. Excellent coverage, the top stays down and the bottoms stay up! And the neck hole stretches perfectly to get on and off. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

I love this suit! It's so cute and so durable. My kids have both worn ruffle butts since birth. They are perfect for protecting from sunburn and a little modesty for public swimming. I'm not a prude, but it weirds me out to have my kids mostly naked around strangers lol. My kids are both in swim class weekly and this suit is perfect! The bottom doesn't "ride up" and there are no straps to fall off or cut into their shoulders. It's also so stinkin cute, it's ridiculous! We get so many compliments! We've owned 5 ruffle butts suits total and they get weekly wear all year for swim class and then even more wear during the summer and I've never had an issue with one wearing out or starting to look worn. I do hang dry and limit machine washes somewhat just in case though, hand washing sometimes. The top runs a little long, just FYI, so don't order up if your kid is between sizes. I like the longer top though because it offers better coverage. It also doesn't float up in the pool at all due to the slimmer fit of the top, but not so slim as to be too small. I've had cheap rash guards and swimsuits as well and I can tell you, the ruffle butts suit is way worth the money.

This suite is perfect. My daughter is on the skinny side so I was a little nervous but it ended up being perfect. She is a young swimmer so needs to run to the restroom more often, this is perfect suite for bathroom breaks. I will be purchasing the next size when needed.
