For the past year, I have been unhappy with the breadboards I have bought from various manufacturers. I find that in general the ones sold on amazon.fr are really low quality, bad connections, unstable contacts and erratic numbering. Indeed, they are really pieces of crap made in China, where for instance it is impossible to assemble delicate things like resonant oscillators. Following some advice, I have tried the breadboard from Jameco only available on amazon.com. I am really glad I bought it, even though imported from the US it came at a steep price due to custom fees and transportation. But it is a completely different world, everything works as it should, no problems with connections, contacts and it has consistent numbering! My only regret is, I bought just one! On the minus side, amazon.com packed it really poorly with no bubble wrap, just a miserly plastic bag. Thus, the breadboard arrived dented and bent on one side, but of course I am not sending it back. As a twenty year Amazon customer, I bought from amazon.fr, amazon.de and amazon.it and never had a problem with the package. Zero stars for amazon.com!
Quality breadboard with tight wiring points

The breadboards used to make the larger overall board are high quality solderless breadboards. They reliably hold onto hookup wire between #22 and #26 AWG and also do well holding onto my ZIF sockets. Stray capacitance is reasonable, and connected components clocked as high as 12.5MHz work together reliably. I'm pretty happy with this board and would recommend it to anyone needing a large breadboard for prototyping a design. I also purchased extra rubber feet and mounted a total of 9 on the bottom, replacing the existing rubber feet for added protection from the base plate warping when inserting larger ICs.
