Ideal small project boxes for electronics

Nice for electronic projects, etc. Years ago, these were also available at your local Radio Shack, but now we get them from Amazon. :-) Well made, light weight, perfect for what I build into them.
Good Case for Small to Medium Size Projects

I used this case to house a small dual voltage power supply.
For the most part, the Jameco Valuepro SY0206-R Case is easy to work with. Making guide lines with an ultra fine Sharpie works well on the painted surface. Cutting square holes with a nibbling tool requires minimal effort. However, the thin 16 gauge aluminum allows some front and rear panel flex when applying minimal pressure. To eliminate this when installing an IEC power receptacle, I used a steel angle bracket next to the receptacle.
I gave the Jameco Valuepro SY0206-R Case a five star rating because I felt the positive aspects of the product far outweighed the negative ones.
For those old enough to remember: This case greatly resembles some of the Radio Shack cases of the 70s and 80s. In the 1978 Radio Shack catalog, the case closest to this one in size, 6¼L x 7¼W x 2¾D (#270-254) had a 20 gauge bottom section and sold for $4.99!

Good enclosure, reasonable price

Nice looking enclosure at a reasonable price. This box was the perfect size for my project. Plenty of room inside, punching out holes for controls, power and panel meters was pretty easy. I ended up with a nice-looking piece to test equipment, at an affordable price!
Exactly what I was looking for.

Perfect for my application. Should have ordered 2 inches wider. My fault entirely. Will redesign my component layout to fit.
High Quality Case

This case has a steel top with a good finish. The aluminum button is substantial thickness and is of course easy to machine. This is the best case I have found that offers quality at this price point. The Jameco Valuepro line of cases are now on my go-to purchase list.
