My cat wore calming collars (same material, same kind of collar as this one) occasionally as a kitten, so I figured his neck area and overall skin would be OK with this kind of collar. And I was correct.

This, seriously, turned out to be the most effective flea product for cats I could find without resorting to a vet.

First, understand when getting rid of fleas in your home, it will take a couple weeks. Involves treating the cat and all the carpets, beds, cat trees, curtains, etc. I initially got Capstar (oral tablet) and Advantage II together. Stopped working after a couple days, fleas returned on him in full force.

I then tried a flea spray, which killed them on contact but made the cat avoid anything that was sprayed. He ended up sleeping in the furthest corner, on hardwood floor, since the spray was so unpleasant for him. At this time, he had two different oral tablets, Advantage II, and this "leave-in" spray all on him/in his system and there were STILL fleas.

Enter this flea collar. Per reviews, I checked to make sure it wasn't a fake. It was easy to put on the cat. I was very, very observant the first 24 hours and constantly checked his neck. Not liking to wear anything, of course cat was a little uncomfortable the first couple days and scratched at the collar often, tried to rub it off using the wall or doors, but this thing WORKS. And works WELL.

I highly recommend getting a flea comb when treating for fleas. It caught and removed basically all fleas when combed thoroughly. I used this as a measuring tool for how many fleas were still left/alive as each day passed, and it eventually dwindled down to nada.

It's been about a week now with no allergic reaction and we are all finally flea-free. Sheesh. Thank goodness for this collar!

Collar works great, especially on indoor/patio cat. Mostly indoor cat shares patio with squirrels, birds and the occasional raccoon, possum, or armadillo. The Seresto collar ensures no fleas, mites, or other hitchhikers. It does not appear to irritate cat or cat owners. No smell or chemical signs, although when the collar is new, one should wash hands after providing it to pet. Will buy again. Thanks Seresto!

After months of OTC very expensive flea medicine several name brands for our cats we just could not end the cycle. It was horrible and embarrassing. I tried one cat on the collar and the results were nothing short of amazing. I don't mind the price point if it works. It worked so well the barn cats now have them. Everyone is doing great. No cat experienced adverse reactions to this and I'm so happy. Finally a product that ended the cycle. Money well spent.

I will always buy these I worked at a vet office and THESE DO WORK my cat has skin issues also and this erased all of that she's 16 three legged and the healthiest she's ever been and these are a lot of the reason. People think they're pets don't have fleas because they don't see them, but guarantee they do and with this collar is helps there skin and fur and makes them happier and healthier without fleas and ticks bothering them
