I'm on a well that has heavy iron sediment and hydrogen sulfide gas. For the last 9 years I'd been using the FXWTC replacement filters and had to replace them WEEKLY. Finally, I tried this filter and it's changed my life. I am now on month 5 and it's still filtering out all the sediment and hydrogen sulfide gas with no noticeable loss of water pressure. It also filters sediment better and is cheaper than the other useless filter.

These are a WOW! I've been on a well for almost a decade. I've been buying the dark grey filters that for some reason over the past couple years turn...well, slimy with no loss in water pressure. The water took on an odor alerting me that it was time to change the filter. I decided to try a different filter (this one). I'll use up the rest of the gray ones and buy these from now on. When it rains hard it kicks up the dirt in the well and these turn a nice shade of dark tan. Joking. But no slime. I can live with that.
