Great protection

I wear this when carving wood, using both hand tools and power tools, which I tend to do in my lap. It protects me well from tool slips. It's nice and thick and lightweight.
Best yet

This apron is not only far better than the other similar Amazon-available product I've reviewed, it's cheaper (as of this writing) as well. It's made of a nice knit-kevlar material that doesn't rip and tear where it was folded back at the factory for shipping, as does the competition. It also has a much better arm/neck strap system that easily accommodates fat but today typical Americans like me. All in all this apron is a huge improvement over what I've used before. I've been wearing this item at work while handling large stamped steel parts with razor edges for about ten weeks now, just to make sure it's as good as it I first thought it was before writing this review. It's hard to even detect the wear marks, where the competitor would've begun to fail along the fold-lines at least a week back.
So yes, count me a happy customer.

Used this while I was working in a cnc mill shop and with held up great. I tried some of the canvas and even leather aprons and they either got cuts or just had metal cling to them to the point that you couldn't even shake it off.
Held up well with deburring, grinding, milling aluminum, steel & plastics. My deburring knife slips a couple of time and it never even left a make on the apron. Got we from all the coolant and never compromised the apron, sparks didn't even harm it.
used some shoe goo to add a sewn up name tag on the front top.
Does get & stay dirty even after washing it. So will not stay that clean color for long after using in shop locations.
The back straps that you use to adjust the tightness could use some work ... Other wise just tie a knot in the back straps or use some tape to keep it from slipping.
