I post before, I played this game back when it first came out. Played it for years. And, had all the upgrades toit some where's but, I'll find them and load them in.

Great game. Single player.

The Mandate of Heaven.

I firmly believe that Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven, originally created by New World Computing and released in 1998 by 3DO, is one of the best turn-based PC games ever made, so I will try to separate my bias from this review as best as possible.

Obviously, this game is dated. It is now 2013, fifteen years after its release. Since then, gaming has taken many leaps and bounds, particularly in the graphics department. Even still, the nostalgic graphics isn't what makes this game truly amazing. It's the perfect blend of quest-management, skill-upgrades, character development, and absolute freedom in the world to go wherever you please at almost any time (no matter how dangerous to your party). The story alone is one of the most original in RPG gaming history; a clever blend of fantasy which meets complete science fiction by game's end. When it comes to difficulty, it really depends on how well your party is equipped, what you're up against, and how you manage it. In an overall and general sense, I wouldn't place this game as being overly difficult; however, it is by no means made especially easy in some places, and your skills will definitely be put to the test.

The reason this product doesn't receive a 5/5 from me is one simple reason: bugs. When the original was released in 98, like most games, it had a few bugs - manageable, easy to work around if you saved beforehand, usually. Unfortunately, with Ubisoft's re-release of this classic, their attempt to fix the old bugs have brought about new bugs. For example: the music in this game plays a large part in the atmosphere; in a dank, dark dungeon, the music played reflects this, and it further submerges you in that environment. One bug that I've noticed, which dampers this tremendously, is that the same song (in a catalogue of about 16 songs total) replays everywhere you go. And it's a particularly chipper song. So when I delve into, what it supposed to be, a haunted mansion filled with ghosts, skeletons, and undead, instead of hearing dark and gloomy ambiance, I hear the song for the town of New Sorpigal, one which has birds chirping delightfully.

Except for the few bugs, the game itself is no different than its 98 counterpart release, which is to say, it's still an awesome game. I would encourage you to throw in the ten dollars and play it. It'll keep you busy for many days.
Old school and outstanding!

M&M 6 is one of the best RPG's I have ever played. Fun and addictive. Lots of secret stuff to unlock. The dungeon mapping is confusing, because they overlay all the levels and kinda hard to tell where things are. Other than that, it is a killer game. Could not get into games 1-5 though.
Great Game & Runs On Windows 10

MM6 is an awesome old school RPG. I also think 6 is the best iteration of the series. After 6, the games were dumbed down and made easier. If you want the best and most difficult of the series then get MM6.
This is a true open world game and gives players many options on how to proceed.
I started over many times as I was fine tuning my party in order to have a better chance of survival mid game.
I give this game 10 out of 10 stars.
I had no problems running this on Windows 10.

The graphics may be antiquated but for the time they were beyond the times. The story of Might & Magic is unparalleled. This is not your old school RPG it is better and even moreso...there is more than just FANTASY... There's a twist... From above.
