Stopped Working After Fifth Use - Replaced by Iwatani (1yr Warr)

Loved it when I first got it. Use it for searing after Sous Vide. Used four times perfectly. On the fifth use, it would light, but would not disperse the high powered blue flame (adjusted valve several times). Instead, it was just a large yellow flame. When I hit the trigger again, it went into a larger yellow flame, covering the entire trigger and can! Luckily I shut off the butane and blew it out, avoiding catastrophe. Also, my return window has passed. I'll be contacting Iwatani directly and hope for resolution.
UPDATE: They don't mention this anywhere on the packaging or on their website, but the PRO2 has a ONE YEAR WARRANTY. I called to complain. They want me to email a copy of the receipt and then they will ship out a new one. I will update my rating after receipt and testing.

UPDATE: Just received my replacement torch. They said they took it apart and found a tiny insect inside it, which made it fail. Have not tested new torch yet. Will update if this torch fails as well. Also bumped up star rating from one to four stars for covering the warranty.

Ignitor stopped working second day - still a very useful tool if you have a Bic

Good product idea, poorly executed. I have an Iwatani burner, and have had no problems. The ignitor on this torch stopped working on the second day of use, requiring a bic lighter to start. And even that method takes a knack to work.
The torch itself is a very effective cooking tool for top side searing, and so I will keep it till I find a better alternative. It makes a great fluffy omelette by cooking the top side and keeping it from having a gummy, runny center. I do not like my omelettes brown and leathery on the outside, so the torch really does the trick there.
