I bought this to add extra capacity to my son's '73 super beetle. It's hard to believe that factory, these engines hold 2.5 quarts. I'll feel a lot better adding another 1.5 quarts as well as an external oil filter/pump unit to his car. I'll update this after I have completed them both.
