Sturdy, very well made, great looking

If you are wondering if these are as sturdy and solid as they look in the picture...yes, they are. Beautifully made, well polished, all stainless steel. The handles are welded on and are rock solid. There is a small rubber stopper in the bottom of each shaker that is easy to open but secure, for filling the shakers. They are stainless so they will look great forever with just some simple care. If you need to wash them, these should be hand-washed with warm soapy water, don't put in a dishwasher or let them soak in water. Stainless does well with dampness but no need to push it.
These are pretty sizable - about the size of a small coffee cup (but maybe just a tad narrower) - so be prepared they are substantial. I love them, easy to grip, goes a long time without needing to refill, and easy to conrol - whether you are shaking some pepper into a pot of soup you are making, or just seasoning something on your plate. Probably the last salt/pepper shakers you will need to buy in your lifetime.

Canisters are very attractive. Just what I had hoped for. One of the canisters has a lid that is not as snug as I would like. I am probably the only person that would notice this.

I purchased the copper plated set and this stainless set because I couldn't decide. I placed each under Royal Doulton Pacific Blue and liked the look of each. There are a few glitches in the "hammered" pattern, but once under the plate this is not an issue, and this is what prompted the 4 star rating. They really add a nice touch to table settings for company.

I got this to keep tea bags in, even though it is more generously sized, as it says, for cookies! The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is labeled as cookies, and the label cannot be removed from the exterior of the container without compromising the integrity of container. I assume you could keep many things in it... like flour. The rim has a thin type of rubber seal, and this part of the lid could fit just a bit more smoothly, but this does not concern me. I think this container looks attractive sitting on the kitchen counter. And I suppose it reminds me of my childhood when our family had a set of metal canister somewhat like this -- a nice retro touch without any of the rust from a flea market purchase!

These are beautiful chargers. Mirror shine, packaged with extreme care, no flaws or scratches of any kind. They make any plate setting look like something special, like you're having an occasion. If you like layering your table by mixing different plate patterns, chargers are a must. They just really tie the whole thing together.
I would have given these 5 stars if the "hammered" pattern was a little more crisp. They are sort of lightly embossed, but you still get the message.
