After the cover was on the pool, we wound up the cable. Before we could tighten completely, the end washer fell off and the item was useless. The washer was not correctly attached.
Fortunately, we had the turnbuckle saved from the last cover, which only lasted 2 years before falling apart.
Not sure I'll buy another.
