Waste of time and effort

One of the worst products I've bought at Amazon, ever. Upon arrival: the LCD cover was broken off on arrival, the CD lid would not open and it could not play any CD. This device has cheap plastic construction and I can't see it lasting too long. Since it couldn't play any CD for me, I can't comment on the sound quality. The buttons are placed on the top, so for anyone wanting to wall mount this, I'd imagine those buttons would be hard to reach. It is pretty slim and occupies less space on a desk or table.
That's All Folks!

I have had this unit for seven months, great sound from CD, although radio had a lot of static. About a month ago, I moved the unit with my hands, right thumb over clock, fingers behind, with static radio on, Viola no static! I do that every time just put my hand for a few seconds.
The clock is difficult to set up, and if a power failure, which are routine here, bye bye clock! Sometimes it will not even come back on, let alone flashing time. If you are going to use alarm clock, use a battery back up like the one you use for your desktop.
O
K why didn't I return it? I am a 100% disabled combat veteran, and I don't do returns, way too stressful.

Good unit for what it does for the money

Good unit for what it does for the money. Radio has weak reception if you don't live near an urban area, but I knew that before buying. Place it in a window, and adjust the powercord to get better reception.
Here's my beef: the advertising sticker on the front of the unit does not need to have extra strength glue. It should peel off effortlessly. Why should I waste 10 minutes of my life with a bottom of "Goo Gone" scrapping this damn sticker off with a fingernail?????? Come on iLive join the real world and use stickers that peel off without leaving a mess. Print the "come-on advert" on film that doesn't need glue to adhere to the plastic front of this unit!!! This is why I gave it only 4-stars.

it is a fairly good value. I have two criticisms
Roger R Rhoades•August 30, 2015
For the price, it is a fairly good value. I have two criticisms. First, if you use the power button on the unit itself (not the remote) it invariably switches the source. That's a little frustrating when you turn it back on and the source is messed up. So, I only use the remove to turn it on or off. Second, the alarm is disgusting. No matter what volume level you have set, when the alarm goes off, the radio starts at a higher volume and immediately gets louder and louder until you want to smash the radio because you're scrambling in the dark to find the power button on the unit or on the remote before you ear drums split. Now I use a separate alarm clock which negates one of the main reasons for buying it .
...what.. the...crap?!

I was so excited when I got this. Connecting my phone to it was simple, the sound was spectacular, the CD player was awesome! ...until... Not even two weeks later and the CD door is stuck open. Fortunately it still plays my CDs... Mostly. Sometimes it will start a song halfway through, sometimes it will stutter (on a brand new, completely scratch/dirt free disc)...
Everything else seems to be fine but I did buy this for the CD player.
Edit: Exchanged the broken one for a new one. So far everything seems fine except that the remote died a day after I received it and the clock won't keep time. I set it at 10 pm (or rather 2200, because it also won't get off military time). Almost twelve hours later, the clock is one hour and fifteen minutes behind real time. But if that's all that's wrong, I'm fine with it. I didn't buy the thing for it's clock function.
