Beautiful look

Very much enjoy the look of these rain barrels. I drilled small holes in the planter for in case of overflow so the water can drain out. It would have been nice if it had been designed to avoid that. All in all, they are as described and my last rain filled them up.

It bust and leak out water
Visually appealing and versitle

We have a metal roof, and therefore have larger 6" gutters. The rain barrels I could have purchased through the company that installed my gutters were not visually appealing. I bought two of these rain barrels and the color of them blends in well with their environment. The screen on the top is large enough for the 6" spout. Many other rain barrels I looked at wouldn't have worked. I like the option of the 'faucet' in the middle of the barrel for buckets and watering cans, but it is in the middle of the unit so the water underneath the faucet is not accessible except through the back where there is a place to screw on a hose. I ended up buying leader hoses so I could leave them on all of the time - needless to say when the barrel is full it is not easily moved to access the back of the unit to attach a hose.
Very good.

Does what its supposed to.
Expense Product Horrible Packaging
Nancy•June 8, 2015
My rating of 2 stars is due to the horrible packaging and lack of quality in one of two barrels I purchased. After only one month and one big rain one of the two barrels leaks along the outside seam. This is an expense investment. I purchased two of the Algreen 100 gallon rain barrels. Received both poorly boxed for delivery; the boxes were smashed and holes were in both. The barrels were not wrapped in anything, so they are both scratched up, but since they were going outside I did not bother to exchange them. Besides it seemed unlikely that the replacements would be packaged any better. One of the two did not have the hose that was supposed to be included, again thought oh well, how much could it cost for one of those little hoses. I had large cement platforms installed to accommodate the barrels. The first big rain, they both filled to the top, but then now one started leaking along the outside seam. To get the water to out of the barrels with a hose, I also had to buy a pump, so there is sufficient water pressure use a hose. I didn't want to spend more money to buy a second pump for the other barrel, so I had to connect the two barrels together. I take responsibility for my lack of knowledge regarding the purchases, but for those of you that have the best of intentions to conserve water and think a rain barrel will be an easy fix to keep your plants watered, maybe learn from my expense mistake.
