Excellent piece of equipment, as I would expect from TASCAM. Very easy to get started recording with. Packed with features which I haven't used all of them yet. Only downside so far is that it eats batteries like candy. If you are going to use this a lot the power supply is a must.

Haven't "road-tested" it yet, but I have done some testing.
The knobs don't inspire a lot of confidence -- they're cheap and plastic-y. BUT for the price and given the quality of multi-track recordings I have been able to produce so far, I would say it's a fair trade for the price.
Of course, on a unit with so few dials, etc. given the size and price, a lot of the EQ and other sound options are accessed through some nerve-wracking menus. For instance, naming a "song" to save it was a laborious process of scrolling letter by letter.
For the money, I'm sure I'll be pleased. I haven't yet had reason to extract tracks from the device, so I can't review that.
