Got this as a Christmas gift. What a waste of money. It sounded far worse than the old door speakers I was replacing. Not only in tonal quality, but they weren't even as loud.

Those who say "these speakers sound good, for my needs" ... I wonder what their needs were. I guess this speaker is better than NONE, in the way that bad food is preferable to starvation. The bass is not merely weak on this unit - it's practically non-existent, and I'm not comparing it to a ricer with a custom sub. We're talking basically no low end from this speaker. The mids are below average, and don't mix well with the highs.

Installation was easy, but taking them OUT was a nightmare. One of the screw clips was stripped during the install (i did NOT over-tighten), and it took more than 30 mins just to get the screw out. I thought I was going to have to drill it out.

Why 2 stars? The packaging is nice, and the instructions are good. Other than that ... completely disappointed that I now have these 2 paperweights wasting space in my garage.

These sounds pretty great in my 1982 VW Vanagon and are sleek enough to fit and not smash in the door, which is a common issue in vanagon door speakers. Easy install and seem solid.

Great upgrade from stocks, these lack on the mids to me, but probably preference. I can probably change the deck out and make it sound the way I want but that's later.

Good sound, but the tweeter section is wasted in my Acura RL, there are tweeters elsewhere. Wasn't paying enough attention I guess, could have got away with some cheaper ones.
