When I first saw a trailer for sonic jump on YouTube, I didn't know what to expect. Then I got the game and, well, it's got 4 stars for a reason. I will say, the game is not perfect. I will say however the game is pretty dang good. The game starts with Dr Eggman once again sterling the forest creatures and sonic needs to stop him, that's about it. The plot is very basic and for a sonic game, it fits nicely. The gameplay has sonic hop from platform to platform to the top of the level. Like sonic and the secret rings sonic doesn't stop moving, or hopping I guess. You move sonic by tilting the device your playing the game on and you can even preform a double jump. The game also has other playable character's like tails, knuckles, Amy, silver, rouge, and blaze. No shadow though and I can't help but feel like that's a missed opportunity. Overall, sonic jump is one of those games to play when your very very VERY bored, but still a fun game.

The first category is gameplay.While I have always enjoyed the normal Sonic The Hedgehog games where you are running,this game is still great!I love how Sonic is constantly jumping and doesn't stop.It's different from normal Sonic running,but it still I love the gameplay and Sonic Jump is a great mobile spinoff for Sonic.The second category is controls.The controls work PERFECTLY and I never had a problem trying to get Sonic to the platforms using gyro controls,and the tap your screen double jump works fine as well.I never had a controlling issue.The third category is presentation.While the games graphics aren't the absolute greatest,please note that this is a MOBILE game and the graphics can't be top notch.However,they are great for a mobile game.I also love the character designs.They don't stray from the norm and they really look nice.The cutscenes however,are the only problem with the presentation.I never likes the whole "comic book" cutscenes in video games.But besides that the presentation is fine.The fourth and final category is music.Sonic games are known for their AMAZING soundtrack.(except for Sonic Chronicles:The Dark Brotherhood).This game is no exception!I love the music in this game and while I am playing Sonic Jump,I am bobbing my head the whole time.

This game is fun if you need a distraction to kill time. I like the ability to choose power-ups and get different characters in addition to Sonic.

The stages are a bit repetitive. The game has you automatically running forward so all you control is left to right movement, jumping, using power-ups etc. Usually I was playing because when I finished a level I'd get more points, which I could then use to buy power ups and other characters.

In the end, I uninstalled Sonic Jump from my phone because I was playing it too much, instead of when I was just stuck waiting somewhere and didn't have other things to do. Laundry or Sonic Jump? Hm.. I pick playing a video game! Not good for productivity :)

This game is yet another great game within the series. After playing one level, I was automatically hooked.
The background is absolutely gorgeous, though the character models could use some work. They don't look like what you'd expect with the background and such. The music is calming and beautiful, but that's expected, because SEGA made it, of course. There are multiple acts within zones, and there are boss fights every now and then. You can easily complete the early stages under a minute, giving it an even bigger addiction value. There are multiple characters you can get to play as within the game if you want some variety. From what I can remember, you can get Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Silver, Rouge, and Blaze. Forgive me if I forgot a few. It's actually useful to buy and play as different characters, because they all have different abilities they can use to get through the stages. Anyway, as soon as I opened the app it had said "You've completed the global challenge. You can now play as Blaze." Though I'm not complaining, I don't know why this happened. Because I got her immediately, I don't know if you are able to actually buy her.
