Mix feelings for deflector panels.

Dethatcher: pros. Aggressive (it will drag you) sturdy.
Cons. The deflector panels (DP) need a redesign by me.
DP not very-easy to install. Appears that repetitive installations will wear / scratch / chip paint on both tiller & DP. DP do not arrive curved, you must bend them to install.
I call them panels because they arrived FLAT.
I like it, does a good job. Bought tiller & all accessories. Replacing my 15yo Murry Mini Tiller.
Note: Don't bother trying to run it w/o the DP installed, not even a little bit.
I didn't give it 3 stars b/c it's a great dethatcher plus. I didn't give it 5 b/c of the deflector design. Look for my 7940 review mid-summer or sooner.

These attachments did a fantastic job on my yard. It was going to cost me $120 to rent a dethatcher and an aerator for one day. For a few dollars more, I own these and it's quick and easy to attach them to my Mantis tiller!
Moss is no match for the Mantis Dethatcher!!

Bought this for my Mantis 50cc unit and I cannot believe how well it pulls up moss from my yard.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, the two state plants are moss and algae. The dethatcher attachment makes this normally backbreaking work very quick and easy. I ran it across our small front yard that had become overgrown with moss over the winter. I had killed off the moss a few weeks ago and it was time to order up and put to use the Mantis attachments. Ordered this kit Saturday afternoon and it arrived Sunday. I love Amazon Prime. Once I had ran the dethatcher over the lawn a couple times, I used my lawnmower with the bag attached to vacuum up all the moss.
I have to do a much larger back yard now, but believe me, your lawn will appreciate this tool, especially if you live in moist climates that get alot of moss in your grass.
