Excellent speaker wires
Arthur Dameron✓ Verified Purchase•July 13, 2017
Excellent speaker wires. This is my second set. I had the 6' wires but after moving things to a different room needed the 15'. They've transmit the sound wonderfully. And I'll tell you the truth...before I bought these 15' I tried some generic 16 gauge wire bought elsewhere. Not good. The sound was not as good so I got these and pow. What a difference. I highly recommend these.
Single Cable ONLY

I ordered expecting a stereo pair of cables to arrive. I went back to check and there is no text of this being a cable for a single speaker. This is very frustrating! As an engineer, the quality is very good, but their advertising and listing is suspect and not a great value as I had originally thought when I ordered.
Sounds better than my Monster XP speaker cables

I bought these cables to connect my Rotel RA-1062 Amp to a pair of Elac FS77 floor standing loudspeakers. Music source is a Cambridge Audio Azur 540C V2 CD Player connected via Audioquest G-Snake interconnects to the Amp.
These Silverback cables replaced a pair of Monster XP compact clear speaker cables. After the initial break-in period of playing for a few days, I could not notice much difference in the high frequency response, but noticed a significant improvement in the lower frequencies. The music sounded more authoritative in the lower bass and mid bass regions -- without any loss of resolution in upper mid and high frequencies.
Overall the presentation sounded better; there was no muddiness and the soundstage remained intact. I would recommend these over Monster XP cables.
The Monsters (XP) were better than a pair of Philips 14AWG speaker cables I tried sometime ago -- which were thicker than the Monsters but sounded muddy -- so I wasn't sure what to expect with these Silverbacks. But these do sound better to my ears than the Monsters -- by a good margin.

Great cables that smell like burning plastic.

Some reviews advised that the harsh odor issue had been corrected. I received these on Tuesday. Now, four days later, they're still AWFUL smelling...and it has permeated every room in my house. I don't know what the outer coating is made of, but it's a REALLY poor choice. The cables are good quality, but I'll have to try coating them with some other finish.
Bad odour from outer coating
Lesley Nicholas✓ Verified Purchase•October 18, 2016
Previous comments by the manufacturer that the odour issue has been rectified do not seem to be valid.
My whole house now has a bad smell in most rooms after 4 days.
These are going back
