I found this batch to be much heavier and not light, powdery and sweet like the one I purchased from the restaurant depot. Same brand different quality /texture.

Sorry, but this stuff is nasty. It imparts a bitter taste to everything I add it to. It does not especially smell or taste like onion. I tried this brand because others gave it good reviews and because I use a lot of onion powder, but this just doesn't taste like the other brands I have used (McCormick and Tones).
