I purchased a bike trailer second hand and unfortunately the previous owner forgot to take off the coupler attachment from her bike. Fortunately, Amazon came to my rescue. I knew I needed this part and it was exactly the right fit for my bike and trailer. It arrived quickly and surprisingly it came with directions! Even my bike didn't come with such thorough directions on how to attach a bike trailer via a coupler attachment. It was easily installed and now I'm ready to tow my child around in my bike trailer.

I used this to attach a Schwinn bike trailer to a Specialized Roll Elite. I got the bike trailer second-hand, and it was missing this coupler attachment. It fits perfectly and we are loving our almost-daily bike rides! I plan to order a second one for my husband's bike so he can pull the trailer sometimes too. He rides a Canondale Quick 5 Hybrid.

This just barely fit the dropout of a Specialized Crosstrail but works well otherwise. For another bike, I had to put a thick washer or two under it to clear the seat stay. This negated the anti-rotation feature of the provided washer with the tab (the tab is supposed to hook into the notch on the bike's dropout or similar to prevent the coupler from rotating). To prevent rotation I tightened up the axle nut so the coupler would not move.
The pin rattles a bit, but two rubber washers cut from a bit of inner tube took care of that problem.
