Great quality even though the grading blade is plastic now instead of metal like I remember from my childhood. Although I also remember the paint easily chipping off the blade as a kid and now with it being rigid plastic I know that won't be a problem for my children.

Bought this for our grandson and he loved it. Although a well made toy by today's standards, it's not the kind of "Tonka" I remember as a boy. Back then all parts were metal except for the tires (or treads) depending on the type of toy. As for the value of it, definitely a good buy in my opinion. I've seen comparable toys that were almost entirely all plastic and not as sturdy. These make terrific "construction" vehicles for playing in dirt piles. I remember those days fondly as a boy some 50 years ago and they held up through whatever my brother and I threw at them. These I regard not just as toys....but, memory makers.
