The latch crosses into it's own way making locking them on tenuous at best. Used ties to hold them in place

It took me 3+ hours to install these. Too tight, no extra slack. Had to remove the tires from my snow blower in order to get them on. I purchased these because of the deep lug design of my tires. However in order to get them to reach I had to lay them out into the grooves which results in less grip on hard packed snow which defeats the purpose. The latch crosses into it's own way making locking them on tenuous at best. Used ties to hold them in place. Used them for about an hour and did not notice any improvement in traction.

They are sized so tight that they are close to impossible to install. Ended up tossing aside the locking mechanism and using zip ties to secure the chains in place.

Product is good quality and fits my Troy Built 28" three stage snowblower. I would have given it five stars, but the tightening device on one of the chains was in the wrong place and it was difficult to move. Also, I can't see how the average person could successfully install these chains with the tires still mounted to the snowblower. I had to remove the tires to install the chains. Not a big deal, but just FYI. Once installed, they work great and help a lot with traction.
