I used one of these to tap a 10 inch diameter maple tree in my back yard. Got over 10 gallons of sap from that one tap and made about a quart of maple syrup. Of course that has more to do with the weather than the tap, but the tap works just as it as supposed to. The instructions that cam with it were helpful. I now appreciate why real maple syrup cost so much.
