Samsung ice maker drawer/dispenser assembly for stainless double door refrigerator.

Recently I purchased a house and we got a Samsung Double door refrigerator with a freezer drawer and a flex drawer with our home from The previous homeowners. Water and ice in the door, but the ice would not dispense. Found out that this assemble was broken and the auger could no longer turn to dispense ice. Found this replacement on Amazon, updated design for the dispenser mechanism. It is a perfect fit, shipped quickly, and now WE HAVE ICE IN OUR DOOR! This assembly does crush ice or dispense cubes. Just slides right in to ice maker inside refrigerator. Nothing to disassemble or reassemble. Just pops right in. It does take about 24 hours for the temperature in the ice maker to drop enough to fully make ice so if it doesn't make any right away, There is a small reset button on the right side of the inside of the ice maker unit. Just be patient with it.

The auger broke on my old unit at what appears to be a shear point. Hopefully the new unit will last longer. Very easy replacement with the hardest part being dumping the ice from the old to new tub.

I have a Samsung bottom freezer fridge with ice maker Model # RFG298HDWP/XAA, this part worked fine in my fridge. Time will tell how durable it will be. It appears to be exactly like the original one. It arrived very well packed in bubble wrap and molded foam in a box.
