In the past I was able to get SolarCaine without Aloe to treat my dogs for hot spots and severe flea allergy itching. I cut away any hair that could get into the wound. I sprayed the spot and gently massaged it in. In a very short time the angry red wound would lose it's color and the itching would stop. SolarCaine stopped the itching and the healing process would start.
