That was my fault. I ordered it a long time before my backpacking trip, so I didn't even look at the shipping time because I thought it would be no problem. I also thought I was ordering one canister, but received three. What a brain-fart day I must have been having! Pay attention.
But anyway, this stuff is alright, definitely better than powdered nonfat cow's milk. (What we always used to take backpacking.) I forgot to bring soymilk to work last week, so I put this in my coffee. It took a lot more powder than I thought to make a nice "latte", but it tasted good.

Makes amazing cocoa mix

I have been using this product for the last 3-4 years to make my own powdered hot cocoa mix. I mix the rice milk powder, powdered sugar, sugar, and cocoa in a food processor. It works extremely well. My cocoa mix blends with hot water for hot cocoa. There may be a few lumps but no one who drinks it minds. Anyone who has tried my mix using this rice milk powder loves it even those who can have dairy. I have tried another rice milk powder and came right back to this one. I have also blended it to use in frosting and it works well. It does have a bit a sweet taste so it doesn't work well for soups, etc.
Okay for travel/ hiking etc for coffee, cereal, etc... Not much better than Coffeemate.

I got this for travel use for coffee and cereal. I think it's maybe okay for coffee in a pinch. Marginally better than using Coffeemate. It seperates weirdly in coffee, but that doesn't affect it's taste. Relatively neutral tasting. Not sweet or noticeably vanilla (when reconstituted). I wouldn't want to drink a glass of this. I also thought on it's own, it didn't want to stay blended very well, and I was using a frothing wand. Ingredient and nutrient wise, it's a little suspect, but for a dairy free coffee beverage on the go/ camping, etc... you'll do fine with this. Not a great replacement for traditional soy milk.
I like using this as a creamer in my iced coffee ...

I like using this as a creamer in my iced coffee and mixing it in with smoothies. It's not really much more economical than buying real quarts of rice milk if you drink a lot of milk daily but I use it sparingly enough that it lasts me a long time and is much more economical than constantly wasting something because I didn't drink it all before it went bad.

It is so much simpler to keep powdered soy milk on hand, and this is the best we have found. Most of the time we use the original flavor Better Than Milk, but for a change we tried the vanilla flavor. It compares favorably with the Silk vanilla soy milk, and unlike Silk, doesn't take up any space in the fridge. Another beauty of this powdered milk is its ease of preparation: You just put water in a quart jar, add the requisite number of scoops of powder, screw on the lid, shake it a minute, and voila! Instant soy milk! You only make what you need. No waste. We highly recommend both the regular and vanilla flavored Better Than Milk soy milk.
