Smooth and flavorful

Our grocery store stopped carrying couscous and didn't know what to do...went on Amazon and found the Dari Couscous and ordered it. Came in a few days packaged very carefully. Made some for dinner and it was absolutely great. Actually better than the product I was getting from the grocery store! It looked and tasted more like the couscous I ate when traveling in the Middle East. So glad I found this and will only use this product from now on.

The size of the grains was not medium but small, but they cooked-up nicely enough. I had had real medium sized couscous which were a bit larger and easier to fluff with a fork when done. These do cook nicely, but are a bit too grainy and smaller than other medium sized brands, which was annoying, as the smaller granules tend to stick together and this affects the taste and texture, making it more like cereal and less like a good couscous. A slightly larger grain size would have been perfect. I had ordered other brands of medium couscous and was far happier, as the grains were larger and easier to separate with a fork after cooking. These grains do not separate well after cooking, which makes for a pasty dish, and not individual and nicely separated grains.
