Great customer service after nearly 10 years of owning this

I've had this thing for just under nine years (I was shocked when I saw the purchase date. I'm getting so old.) and it was starting to hitch a little as you would rotate it. I had disassembled it and cleaned it, but to no avail. After 8+ years of dedicated service, it was finally starting to show its age.
I resolved myself to just having to get a new one. Not a huge deal, I felt like 8+ years was a good run for such a small item. I got to the page, and saw the lifetime warranty. I followed some links and emailed Groom Mate on a Sunday. That same day they replied and said they'd get me a new one right away with my address. I sent them my address, and got a shipping notification first thing Monday morning!
Fantastic and personable customer service, fantastic device. You really can't do better than that combination. I recommend this item without hesitation!

I was searching for a manual device like this for awhile and the Groom Mate Platinum XL turned out to be better than expected. Very high quality design, materials and construction. It's perfect! After a few minutes of practice reaching for the "target" it becomes completely controllable.

Ok, it cuts nose hairs.... But it does it really well! Word of warning, it looks like a .308 round in an x-ray... So you will get tagged by TSA if you carry it (and i almost think that alone make it worth it!)

I bought this incase civilization collapsed and there was no more electricity. I would be the only person in town without nose hair. At first it will rip more hair out than is cut, but a little practice helps. Think twist back and forth, not in the same direction all the time.
It does work, and is nicely crafted, and like I said, it's great when there is no power. And you can not use that shiny, high speed, precision electric trimmer in the shaving cabinet. If you know what I mean.

The durability on this product is phenomenal. The blades have not yet seemed to dull. The trimmer is smaller than what I expected but much heavier giving it quite the satisfying ergonomics. Since it has no electric motor there are no parts to wear out. I do not believe I will ever have to buy another one. I may want to though, because despite the longevity offered by not being electric, using this is a mildly tedious process. If you hate charging batteries (or even worse buying them) this is the product for you.
