My husband and I bought this swing and frame. We love it. We had bought the 4 foot swing for our daughter and son-in-law as a gift several years ago so we knew of its quality and ease to put together. I couldn't be more pleased. It is beautiful to look at and comfortable to sit it in and swing. Our great granddaughter enjoys having it in our back yard to swing with us. We look forward to many years enjoying this swing. It was delivered well packaged and the directions for assembly were extremely clear. Just follow the directions!!

Don't tackle assembly by yourself without a good strong drill (hammer drill is even better) to drive in all the bolts and screws. You can do it with just wrenches, sockets, and a hammer but it will take a long time and your arms will be tired. If you have the tools assembly was easy. The instructions were not fantastic but got the job done. We've used it almost every day for a couple months are very pleased.

We have had this swing for almost a year. It has been through wind, rain, snow, and the attack of the carpenter bees (those things are evil). This has become a feature in Nana's yard for the little grand kids. We can fit two adults and two kids or 1 adult, 1 kid and 2 dogs. It is very, very heavy--no worries of tipping over. The only caution is that adult supervision is suggested for little ones as the seat is quite heavy and could do a nice karate chop to a little one standing too close. I always make sure the swing is stopped before any kids dismount. We did not paint or stain the swing and it is weathering nicely. Yes, the wood has some cracks, but guess what, that is what real wood does as it ages. I love the rustic look and I am going to be buying the matching glider for this summer as another fun feature in Nana's backyard. You know, it IS the place to be!

The set is easy to assemble, comfortable, and fun. It is the favored seating near our fire pit. I had not planned to stain it, but I had some stain left over from a fence project. Oh my, I strongly recommend staining the entire set. The process was far easier than I had feared. I did not have to remove the swing, and the whole project took only a little over an hour. I used Olympic Elite (Mahogany Blaze) stain from Lowes, and I slapped it on with a five-inch fence brush. Initially, I worried that it had come out a bit orange-y combined with this fresh cedar, but the color quickly settled over the first few weeks and it's beautiful now.

This is an amazing swing.. It is easy to put together but some assembly works better if you have someone to help. We love the rustic look and all our friends and family are surprised with the look and price. We bought a wicker love seat and chair cushion and they fit the swing very well. We put a coat of water protection on it and like the color even more once the protection dried.
If you buy this swing you will not be disappointed. I built a canopy for ours that I attached to the "a" frame so we could sit in the swing when it was raining or when the Sun was out...
