I bought this to use a a boffer weapon for LARP. LARP stands for Live Action Role Play. Depending on the rules for weaponry in game the padding may or may not be enough for standard. In my case it wasn't enough. The staff is overall well built and arrived in great shape. Sadly it didn't meet standards at my game.
