A tag is a tag - I guess. The advantage here is that the wire allows placement of tag in a specific position and it will stay there. Also, note that wire is easier to twist than string is to tie a note.

Very good quality tags with wire ties. Bright yellow color stands out for tagging equipment. Great for 5S or other industrial projects.
