Long lasting!

I've been running one of these for 2-3 years to distribute my CCTV throughout the house. Several monitors are on 24/7 and I've had very few issues. Once or twice I've had to power-cycle the unit but otherwise rock solid. Those two hiccups were few and far between so not sure what caused them. I ordered a second unit they work so well. I have two of the 4-port versions as well.
Inaccurate Description In A Good Way? 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸

OREI always delivers and doesn't disappoint. No complains as it does what it's supposed to but I'm curious on one thing.
The description is pretty specific on the fact that PC extended displays aren't supported and HDMI audio output isn't supported either. I almost cancelled my order because of this but I'm glad I didn't because I just tested it and can confirm that BOTH actually do work just fine ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘. No complains. Just wondering why it would be listed as not supported.

This thing is awesome! Since I just got it I can not comment on life span, but I did get the extended warranty with it. Currently this unit is connected to my Lorex camera system so I can send the live video to multiple rooms. The newer Lorex DVR systems only have 1x HDMI and 1x VGA out, without this I would be suck with just two monitors. Thinking about getting another one in the future to allow me to send HD picture to all of my TVs from a single cable box mounted in the basement.
Does what it says. Product lifetime as low as 2 years before replacement needed

Product works well and does what it says. Splits 1 HDMI signal into 8 of the same outputs. It occasionally has glitches where it sends the wrong resolution to a slave monitor. In my case, this ruins the placement of various objects on a computer screen. All of the objects must be manually reset to their desired position. Thankfully the glitches do not happen too often. They seem to happen mostly when one of the slave monitors is turned off and then back on.
The one thing that does disappoint is the longevity of the device. The first one I bought lasted 3 years, then stopped working correctly. The replacement I bought has now stopped working correctly after 2 years. I suppose that is not bad for an electronic device, but I have computers that still work fine after 8 years. Anyone contemplating purchasing one of these devices should plan on replacing it every 2 or 3 years.

We duplicated the video signal for livestreaming, recording, and viewing on multiple HDTVs in our Church.
