So far so good
the hefty weightJuly 28, 2017
*Updated* We installed this just a few days ago, so I will update my review if needed... but so far this door sweep has been pretty impressive, so I'm writing a review. Before installing this sweep, we lined sticky nontoxic spider traps on the inside of our front door to see if that might be part of why we have had such a horrible spider problem. Sure enough, we caught a cricket, a spider or two, and even a cockroach within a few days time. So gross. (Side note: don't rent a basement apartment.) So we took out the old rubber sweep and installed this one. We kept the sticky spider traps in front of the door to continue to monitor. Nothing so far, except for the huge wolf spider that ran in literally as soon as we opened the door, like it had been trying to get in and couldn't. Thank goodness it ran into the sticky trap waiting for it. Hoping this sweep continues to be awesome!

Update: Sad to say, but a brown recluse was able to make its way through the bristles and into the sticky spider trap waiting for it on the other side. Ugh! The sweep has been an improvement, but I'm going to knock the rating down to 3 stars.
Looks so much nicer than anything I'd seen before finally finding these, I think you'd like it too.

Impossible to find locally, so very happy to get these. Bought two for front door(s) that some moronic carpenter cut too short! These fill in the ugly gap nicely. Before I found these, I had one of those plastic U shaped things shoved under the doors, and of course they did not fully open. If you need to cut the metal, easy peasy. I used a hack saw--but do be careful not to cut the strip the bristles are attached to, because they will come out in small pieces--had to pinch the cut end with pliers, now it's fine.
Good quality has held up.

It was pretty easy to cut with hand saw to fit door. I use on inside French door door that is opened maybe 20 times a day. The bristles drag ground pretty good and have lasted first 4 months. From how much mine drag, it's because it opens on uneven wood floor I would have expected bristles to fall out or become misshapen but so far hasn't. I would expect it to last sever years and much much longer if it didn't drag my floor.
A note is once you cut to fit door you need to pinch end of it closed because the bristle is on a separate piece that slides. This keeps it from sliding out of slot and scratching whatever it is closing on.
Did not use on door

Did not use on door but for my needs I cut it to length and mounted to a small computer/server/network switch cable for cable management. A lot cheaper this way then buying a pre-made brush cable grommet. This is a well made product
Perfect for uneven floors and doorsills

I held off on this because I wanted to see it perform. I applied it several months ago before winter. I just had 15-30 mile an hour winds and rain go through here for 2 days. It was better than I hoped for.
It is a very uneven floor and made heating my workshop almost impossible. I can say, after most of a fairly wet and windy winter, that this is what I needed.
My workshop is dry, no drafts from that doorway, to coin a phrase, "it sealed the deal".
I'd recommend it to anyone with a tough door and floor to work with
It was very easy to install and trim.
