Ok, the first time I used this I thought it, well... Sucked. It didn't do much at all.
The second time I used it (I didn't have a choice, it was all I had on hand) I applied it, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then used the scrubbing side of my Scotch Brite heavy duty kitchen sponge. Holy cow! With just light scrubbing my oven was spotless! After scrubbing I wiped with a dry paper towel, followed by a damp towel, then a quick go over with another dry towel. The whole process took about 30 minutes & that includes the 10-15 minutes of waiting time.
This works way better than anything else I've tried.

I tried baking soda, vinegar and dish soap and made a complete mess. I also tried Easy Off and almost choked to death on the toxic smells and it didn't do a damn thing so this Goo Gone cleaner was a game changer. It worked instantly without any harmful smells and melted the stains into puddles that I could instantly wipe away. We bought this product some months back to use to clean our grill. I discovered it could also be used for cleaning my electric oven. 10 minutes of soak time and a non-abrasive chore boy and I had the oven cleaned, including the inside door, inside of 30 minutes. And virtually no smell. And I considered my oven in bad shape!
Now I will use it on a regular basis so I don't get so much build up will make it easier to clean by just wiping it off. I highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this product given the reviews and I was not disappointed. I have a gas cook surface with heavy cast iron grates that had spills "˜cooked' on. I had read the manufacturer instructions on how to clean, suggesting a scrubby and dish soap, but that didn't work. So I took a chance with this cleaner. OMG they look like new. I am delighted with the results. Next up are my oven racks and I expect similar results. I am rarely this impressed with a product.
