Arrived in good time and all parts included - however ended up taking lazy boy to dump and did not install this spring repair kit
Measure twice, cut once merchant sent a no cost replacement to save my bacon.

I ordered the La z boy 18" spring because when I measured the bottom of the spring it was 18". Come to find out it was one inch too short. After considerable amount of struggle, I remembered if a spring is over bent it will not return to its original shape yet still be a spring. With a stout pair of vice grips I over bent sever of the turns and checked its length. Several bends needed "adjustment" and then the length was 19" as I needed and it went together very quickly. When you measure your spring, add at least one inch, or just go to the next biggest size, use bolt cutters or a dremel to trim to size of the out side of the curve. Can always shorten, harder to lengthen but it can be done.

Excellent spring repair kit. Did the repair job and the kit contained every thing you will need. Also you will need a spring stretcher. I use the Osborne 268 Lever Spring Stretcher on the spring repair. Easy to use and gets the job done.

This was the perfect replacement part. I gave it 4 stars because there were no instructions and replacing the spring ourselves appeared way to complicated for us to attempt.
