Works for single sheets but push down hard!

It does work but be careful how you do it. The paper has to be lined in it exactly and might slide off center if you aren't watching. Also, no more than three sheets of paper can be punched at any time. It is difficult to press the three pieces down with three or more. One piece is easiest and even then, you have to push harder than I'd like. I have arthritis, so I really wish it was easier to use for my hands, but it does work. The other reviews about it being hard to punch are about right. I gave it 3 stars because it does work and it is portable.
This Portable Punch will punch but you better be strong.

This portable punch is very hard to press down on. If you are trying to use more than 2 sheets or heavy cardstock you must be very strong to get this to punch the hole all the way through the papers. My next punch will be a much sturdier punch. I tried to save money and ended up wasting money instead.

Oh My Gosh! I can't believe I was going to spend so much more on The "My Big Ideas" hole punch. I mean, this works great. The holes are perfect for my planner and if you want to punch a smaller piece of paper, the punch is separated into three different sections. I feel like I got a steal. Don't expect to punch more than two or three card stock but if you have time to do them two at a time this product is worth the purchase. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Spend the extra money for better quality

It's so cheaply made. I can see how it will easily break. Lightweight Cardstock is really hard to punch and there is no way I would recommend more than 2 pages of regular paper at a time. I wouldn't pay over $5 for the quality of this product again. I'd rather pay $10 extra dollars than have to hope and pray with each punch it doesn't break. It is sooo a punch of way from being useless.
Hard to use

I wish I had got the Staples version of this. This Levenger Circa 1-2-3 punch may be good for Circa note books, but I use the Staples Arc system. The punched paper will work on that system. What I don't like are the number of not fully punched pages I seem to get. In less you really check each page it wants to punch at an angle. I thought this was from the bottom waste area getting full so fast, so I just took off the rubber bottom but that didn't help. I also don't like that you have to punch each page three times. Once for each section. When it says one page at a time they mean it, don't even bother trying two.
