GREAT BLADE CUT 1/2 " STEEL

I've been cutting mild steel for a really long time. Started with hand held hack saws. Graduated to grinders, then grinders with thin abrasive cutting wheels. Then a whole fascination with oxyacetylene torches . . . Then portable hand held band saws. Then we bought a horizontal, cooled band saw. Then we bought a Jancy Slugger portable circular saw. Amazing. For stuff that's 12 gauge to 1/4 inch thick and you would use a portable circular saw if it was wood, this blade, with the right saw is incredible. Way faster than other methods. The heat goes into the chips, so the steel stays relatively cool (no warping). Very clean, very straight cuts. The blades dull fairly quickly, so we bought an extra and send one out for sharpening after every major job.

These slugger saws r great for making long straight cuts in sheet metal. The thickest I have cut is1/2 inch with no problem. And the blades have a long cut life. Makes very straight clean cuts.
