I bought this to use with my Cricut machine and the vinyl I use is Oracal 651, this is perfect for that vinyl it picks the vinyl up easily and is not too sticky where the vinyl wont come off. The only downside is that the tape is the color of normal masking tape an opaque off white, it is a little hard to see the vinyl unless its dark vinyl. When using white vinyl its hard to see. Other than that love this stuff and will purchase again.

I use this to protect my materials from burn marks when I'm lasering them. It's easy to apply (with practice) and does the job!

I don't wear I would be with this, it is going to last me forever. I do vinyl crafts just for fun so I'm making stuff to sell. It is not clear clear but doesn't have horrible lines on it. The lines make it hard to see what I'm doing. So this worked perfectly for me, with this being 300 ft and iever already had it 6 months and it looks like I have barely even used it at all. But I used tons of it on lots of prodjects

OK. Since I don't use this for its intended purpose (transfer of vinyl decals) I can't really help you evaluate whether it will work for that. Sorry about that.

But for folks looking for something to use as material masking in a laser cutter, I think this stuff works great. I use it with a 45W CO2 laser to mask leather and wood. I like that it isn't too sticky which makes it more forgiving to apply and easier to weed afterward.

I find that a bit of pressure is required after smoothing in order to get it to stay put, but for me that's a good tradeoff against being too sticky.

Only thing that might give you pause is that I'm not entirely sure that the adhesive isn't dangerous to burn. I didn't see anything that worried me on this front, I just figured I'd mention it since there is some amount of use-at-your-own-risk involved here.

I have not had any problems with this tape. This is my second roll. If you cover a board and let it set a few days, I suggest you burnish it again to be on the safe side. This is a great value for the cost, and I highly recommend.
