Firstly, I have to say that SHOP 709 CORP. has the best customer service that I have ever encountered,ever, and I am no kid.. I had ordered two scuba masks and due to a glitch, the fastest shipping option was not present for one of them, when checking out. One mask would not have arrived before leaving for vacation... One short call to SHOP 709 CORP. remedied this problem and I received the mask the next day! Secondly, this is a fantastic product! Very comfortable with great quality materials. I wear progressive lenses and since having to require them for the last 15 years, to see close, I have not been able to enjoy snorkeling. I chose the single strength +2.5 lens. For reading I need to use a +3.0 but chose the lesser strength so I would not completely distort my mid-range sight. I felt that this choice worked perfectly for me allowing great close sight to enjoy looking at little sea creatures!

Loved that I didn't have to get a costly prescription dive mask to enjoy diving and snorkling. They were easy to select the correct lens and arrived quickly and included a case. I have a small head and face, the seal was solid and the straps were easy to adjust. I really didn't experience much fogging and had plenty of peripheral views. I purchased the solid black. Great buy for the price.

Correction appears just right. I'm adding reading lenses to the bottom. Got tired of those slipping around, so I attached them at the edges with hot glue. Baby shampoo, full strength after a dive, and let em dry. Don't wet them for the next dive. Also, scrub the inner surfaces with toothbrush/toothpaste before first use, and I added the slap piece that covers the straps at the back. Makes them very secure, while super easy to put on and take off. I've gone to putting a attachment loop on the snorkel using two tie wraps, and clipping it to the BC. Stuff it inside the head strap for use. Otherwise strong currents can try to take your head off.

I'm quite blind without my glasses, and since I do not wear contacts I always miss out on snorkeling. We typically visit the Caribbean once a year and I've often skipped excursions or stayed on the boat with a drink in my hand instead of looking at all the beautiful fish. This year my 9-year old became very interested in snorkeling, so I spent a fair amount of time swimming around getting splashed in the face trying to see fish over the water.

Now no more! Since we only go about 1x/year and we're not hardcore snorkelers I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a prescription mask. This was a great balance between price and use! I bought a mask just under my prescription and it works great. I've used it a few times! It does fog up, but I haven't experienced a mask that doesn't. I am now able to do our basic snorkels and SEE! Yay!

If you're a dedicated snorkel-snob, this mask likely is not for you. If you want to just swim a few times with your kiddo and be able to see--this mask will be great!

I used this mask to go snorkeling in Hawaii and also tested it out in an 8ft. deep pool before the trip. My prescription is -3 in both eyes, so luckily I didn't have to request different prescriptions for each eye. I also have a very small head/face for an adult (I can usually fit into childrens' hats and have to buy petite sized glasses frames). When I first tried them on, I wasn't sure if they would fit because they didn't suction to my face unless I put the strap on very tightly. When I actually used them in water I found that they suctioned better when both the goggles and my face were wet. I also only noticed a tiny bit of leaking under my nose if I smiled under water, but it isn't enough to make the mask uncomfortable while swimming. It's also important to make sure long hair doesn't get under the seal around the edges, or this will cause major leaking. This mask also tends to fog up pretty quickly, so I bought some anti-fog spray from Cressi and it helps a lot. The trick is to spray it on the inside of the lenses, spread it around with your finger, let it dry COMPLETELY, and then rinse thoroughly. As long as you don't take the mask off until your done, you should be fog free throughout your swim. Lastly, if the area of your forehead where your eyebrows are sticks out a little bit more than normal, the hard plastic piece above the nose where the 2 lenses meet will most likely cause you pain. My eyebrows don't stick out very far and I can only wear the mask for about a half hour before it starts to hurt. This is because this is a low profile mask, regular masks usually have the piece above the nose set out a little bit further so it doesn't put as much pressure on that spot. Overall, this is a great mask to get if you plan on going snorkeling or doing some leisurely swimming and have trouble holding your breath under water if your nose isn't plugged, like I do.
