These were great. I was reterminating some in-wall cables from CAT3 to CAT5e that were stapled to studs, so I did not have more than a few inches of slack here. For each of the four cables, I only had 2-3 attempts to get it right, and I've only done ~20 or so prior to this, so I'm no expert. That said, these were very easy to punch down (easier than the Levitons) I had been using. They all auto-negotiated at 1Gb speeds on the first try.

Installed 4 of them. So far so good. Now my home runs all have cat 5e/6 ends and can be interchangeably used for network or phone connectivity. Yes you can carefully plug a phone into these jacks and the typical phone plug works that uses ony 3 of the 4 pair contacts. Good price too. Packaging is nicely printed with A/B standars as well as the color coding ont he jack though slight in different order than the last ones I ordered on Amazon.

i own a small telcom business in the DFW, this is all i buy for Cat5e jacks. i have used these for years and i always return. these plugs never give me any issues and i love them they match in color perfectly with white wall plates. the pins are high quality and they always pass fluke testing!

I was recently constructing a rather unconventional LED display of sorts. The LED's were soldered onto one end of multiple cat5e cables, which were terminated to RJ-45's on the other end. The idea was to build a box with a circuit board inside and these female RJ-45's on top to plug the cables into. The circuit board was connected to an 9V wall adapter. In other words, the cat5e's were strictly being used to supply power to the LED's, no data whatsoever.

Anyway, these female RJ-45's frequently go for around $4-5 a piece, but here I was able to get 5 for around $3.5, an incredible bargain. All of the connectors I received worked perfectly, though admittedly I wasnt using them for their intended purpose. Considering the low cost, I ended up ordering some extras, in case I ever need to install some in the future. Chances are I will end up ordering some more, just to have on hand.

I can confirm that these connectors fit (snuggly) into the Leviton 42080-12E Quickport Dual-Gang Wallplate.

These worked well and were very good quality. I used 25 of them and had no defects or problems adding the cable to them. I did have one issue that is not the fault of this product per say. These are a little wider than all the other RJ45 Keystone Jacks I have used. They fit perfectly in every keystone jack plate except the Six Hole Sewall Keystone Plates that fit into a Decora Face Plate seen here . https://sewelldirect.com/Wall-Plate-with-12-keystone-jack-2-Gang-White.asp These will not fit side by side due to their width. I would buy these again.
