I was not sure that I made the right decision in getting index cards, even when I got them today I was a bit on the fence. But when i took out individual cards and wrote some Spanish vocabulary words, and then practiced some Chinese characters on others, I liked them quite a bit.
I think my initial issue was the size and price. I thought that the size was small and the price was less, therefore the quality must be on par with the 99 cent variety. But I was wrong. I do like the size and the quality is sturdier. I like the colors too.
I finished the first 1,100 cards with Chinese characters and Spanish verbs, and to gain fluency I need to do another 1,000 more characters, so Debra Dale Designs to the rescue.

The box the index comes in is nice, though some of the index cards had an uneven cut to them or were dented in the corners. The cards are thinner than I expected, more thinner than the index card that one would buy at stores like Target, Walmart, etc. I was going to use these index cards to study for my Japanese class and tested them out to see if I'd see ink seep through the paper. I use a sharpie and it doesn't seem to show with the exception of the yellow index cards.
Colorcoding is good, case is flawed.

I like the cards because they are unlined. That lets me adjust my handwriting to how much space is available and not get writers cramp. I use a hole punch to make a corner hole, and then stick binder rings in them. Great for organizing. I like the colors because I was assigning different colors to different subjects. The one flaw in this product is that the plastic case is only a standard plastic clamshell product package with the added feature that you can open and close it. If you drop the case or it gets knocked over, there is a good chance that it will spill open and you have to pick them up. The case also doesn't allow any leeway to put something slightly different size in them. This is better than the half index card size because it lets me write more sideways with longer lines instead of having to wrap around as often.

The cards are fine, they're pretty much what I wanted when I ordered this. I use them for language vocabulary (Japanese and Chinese) and hole punch them and put them on Bazic 1" Metal Book Rings, Assorted Nickel-Plated Steel Rings (3-Pack of 10) . My problems lie in the fact that my order came four days late, which prevented me from making flashcards for a specific quiz I really needed them for, and when it arrived the box was all dinged up. The cards are fine except for the ones at the ends which have bent corners, but I'm not that happy about a beat up box and the fact that about 20 cards also had beat up corners (I pressed them back to flat).
