I use a manual wheelchair for mobility, and I am short-statured. I cannot reach to the back of the counters in my (VERY small, unadapted) kitchen. So, storing and using my small appliances was a problem.
I purchased these trays to hold my small appliances. One tray holds my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Another holds my KitchenAid Hand Mixer and KitchenAid Blender. A third has my Chef's Choice Knife Sharpener and Cuisinart Food Processor, and a fourth my Proctor Silex Can Opener and small KitchenAid Food Processor.
I can easily reach the trays to pull them forward to use the appliances, then push them all the way back on the counter when I am done. The trays keep the part of the counter I can't reach clean. Plus, because the trays are clear, they don't take up any visual space on my counters.
The "leftover" two trays I use as....trays!
While I think the trays could be a bit heavier (I don't expect the two I'm using as food serving trays will last very long without cracking), they do serve the main purpose for which I purchased them. I don't move the appliances on and off the trays (and some of those appliances are HEAVY), and so far, no cracks. I think if you treat them gently, they're a very good buy.
