Good for the price but beware you may have to re-calibrate it.

3 stars cause it said it was calibrated for accuracy, but it was off by .3 on 1G. In grams ,1 Gram it would be .3 points short on just 1 gram. If you put 5 grams on it , you would lose 1.5G. The more you put on the scale, the more you will lose. I had to re-calibrate it & even so , you have to check it at least 4 to 5 times to make sure it is right.
Nice scale, but you need to purchase the 500g ...

Nice scale, but you need to purchase the 500g weight with it. I have a set of calibration weights, but not a 500g. So that will be an added expense as you can only calibrate it with a 500g weight and no other weight. When I tried to calibrate it I never saw a 200g number flash. There should be a way to calibrate it with any given weight but this is not the case. So I have to order the 500g weight and wait for it to come to get this scale working accurately or return it and try and different scale with different way of calibrating. After all of that I'm hoping it will be somewhat accurate.
TOTALLY 100% DID NOT PURCHASE TO WEIGH DRUGS

5/5 this thing has held up after a year of brutal use in 6 person all boys college apartment. All manner of powders, liquids, and substances have been spilled or intentionally poured all over it (in fact a lot of that is on it right now, it has never been cleaned). I have never replaced the battery. For a cheap scale that will fit in your jacket pocket it's a great buy.
Note: It works really well for anything a quarter of a gram or heavier, but once you go small it can get a little wonky and inaccurate.

Accurate to within 30 mg. Very functional

works as advertised. I bought calibrated weights and found very minor inaccuracy/imprecision. I found no scale error but offset error can be up to 0.030 grams or 30 mg, maybe 40 mg with very light weights. In particular, I had to drop 40 mg or more on the scale to get it to move from zero. (I imagine it has a function that keeps it insensitive when zeroed so air currents don't fluctuate it because that annoys users.) It was as accurate with a 100 milligram weight as with a 100 gram weight, never more than 30 mg from the nominal weight of my cheap calibration weights.
I picked this scale for 3 purposes: weighing supplements, weighing food portions and finding out how much water my running shoes and socks retained when wet. Works fine for all these purposes.

I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere

Zero stars. The first scale would not calibrate. The second scale successfully calibrated on the first try. Then the readout started marching up. The display never stayed the same for more than a fraction of a second. If the tare button was pressed, it started marching up again. It typically went up to 40 grams +. When I went off and left it to see if it would stabilize by itself, I found it at 107 grams. This all was with the platform empty. Note that the first scale had the same problem with changing display. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. The seller did not give me any reasonable time to return the scale, and I was busy with my husband in the hospital when the second malfunctioned, so I am out my investment for two scales. Learn from my mistakes.
