Absolutely love this socket holder set. I bought them because im a sucker for black and red things, and i needed to get more orginized with my sockets. All i had were the origonal comtainers that came with then sockets when bought. Never regreted it. I worked at a salvage yard, mainly working on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jaguars, ect. So i have a huge verification of socket needed at any moment. This ensured i was orginized and saved me a TON of room in my service cart. In the picture you can see what i had before on the lower right side, and i plan on replacing them with more of these socket rails because ill have way more room in my drawer.
No complaints, only one socket clip has broken on me and that was because i dropped a rail (detached from the main base) from the lift arm above my head to a concrete floor (Just under a 7ft fall!)
Will be buying again in the near future, and i have convinced other co workers to buy the same as i did.
They also love this as much as i do.

Great organization tool. I have a blue one for standard and a red one for metric. I like that it holds a set of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch sockets. Construction is good, plastic seems solid. Sockets slide on and are then twisted to lock them in place. Individual rows can be removed and the sockets don't fall off. My only concern is that the individual holders are plastic and I suspect that the top edge that locks the sockets in place may wear down over time.

These socket rails are great. Sturdy, well made and they look great. I bought two plus extra 3/8 clips and have well over 100 sockets and accessories mounted to these rails. The individual rails can be easily removed so you can rearrange if you don't like the layout without removing all the sockets you just mounted. They twist-lock on and hold very well. The trays can be moved to your work location and they don't bend or flex, even under the weight of 40-50 sockets. Totally pleased with this purchase and recommend them highly.

For the price I expected more. They are convenient but the plastic twist mechanism doesn't feel as though it will last. Not all socket brands allow for the twist feature to function properly. The amount of base around the socket strips adds bulk and limits the amount that I can fit in my tool chest. Wish they were designed so that extra strips could be snapped on in addition for a more customized application. Time will tell how these hold up to oil and grease and grime.. but anything is better than the flimsy metal PITA craftsman ones..

The tray/rail system is great. The locking mechanism is hokey at best. Especially with the 1/4" drive sockets. Also, something for the consumer to consider is drawer height. If you plan on putting deep well sockets on here, you've got to use a tall drawer. And since most consumer level tool chests only have 2 at the bottom, my deep wells aren't on this rail system. Overall, if you only have a consumer level socket set, I'd say it's probably a worthwhile purchase to keep unruly sockets at bay. If you have a professional socket set, you'll need about 4 of these trays and you can probably find happiness elsewhere.
